Summary

The Commercial Agreement Specialist role forms part of a sub team called The Energy Net Zero Team, which sits within the Energy category, and reports into the Category Manager. Main responsibilities include:
> Supporting the government’s Ten Point Plan for a Green Revolution and the Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy setting the UK on the path to Net Zero by 2050
> Assist in the development in low carbon solutions for the public sector to achieve cleaner energy supply such as Power Purchase Agreements (PPA)
> Supporting the development of sub-category strategies and delivery of new commercial agreements and innovative decarbonisation solutions.
> Support and contribute to the shaping of future replacement strategies and will lead and support the delivery of procurements, using the public sector regulated procurement processes.
> Project management assistance to Energy Net Zero initiatives.
> Develop their own energy category knowledge including carbon net zero, Power Purchasing Agreements, and decarbonisation of energy supplies

Job description

> Commercial Agreement Management: delivery and management of commercial agreements (from launch, day to day management, through to expiry or replacement) in line with CCS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
>Supplier Management (SM): including: conducting supplier reviews; managing performance against Terms and Conditions and relevant Key Performance Indicators; development of supplier action plans; identification of cost reduction and value added services opportunities; and risk management.
> Commercial Benefits: Develop and implement commercial benefits methodologies, including reporting against their performance.
> Relationships: The development of close and collaborative relationships with customers and colleagues across CCS in order to ensure the delivery of superior service, increase uptake of the Commercial Agreements and value for money.
> Category Strategies: support the development and implementation of strategies
Project Delivery: assist the delivery of key innovative projects across the energy category including decarbonisation of energy supply.
> Procurement Delivery: Development of all necessary documentation (incl PINs, OJEU, Business Cases, Specifications, Pricing Models) in readiness for CCS Sourcing colleagues to go to market for new/renewed Commercial Agreements to required quality and on time.
> Analysis of data: Review, interrogate and critically analyse data to assist the effective management of Commercial Agreements and suppliers on those agreements and to achieve organisational objectives of growth and delivery of commercial benefits.
