Care and Clinical Training Partner | Private Healthcare

Remote role with travel to Homes

Bucks, Surrey, London.

60k plus 5k car allowance

Compass Corporate Services are working closely with a leading luxury care provider in their recruitment for a Clinical Trainer to oversee the training needs of their Care Homes. This successful applicant will need to be RGN qualified with an active PIN to be a strong manager who has experience of working within medium to large sized nursing services. You will be delivering and developing training solutions, Conducting training needs analysis and coaching & mentoring

Reporting to Quality & Governance Director, e nsure that all staff working within our care teams across the business are appropriately trained, skilled and developed to meet the professional requirements of their role. Lead all clinical training initiatives, deliver the training within their homes and support with strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the care, training, and operations teams to identify, detail and propose solutions to all the training requirements for care and clinical roles.

Supporting and upskilling care managers to identify training needs within their teams and what to do in such instances. Ensure the business is clear about where/how to access specific care and clinical training requirements.
Ensuring all key stakeholder’s within the business are fully informed by documenting the requirements and formalising the planned approach.
Researching possible solutions and presenting ideas at relevant stakeholder meetings.
Working with feedback as part of the training initiative development

Developing and coordinating all training initiatives specific to the care and clinical teams. This could include the following:

Clinical skills/competencies programme for nurses and care staff
Role-specific Induction and career development programmes
Systems training relevant to the care/clinical teams, for example MCM and Radar,

Ensuring all new care/clinical staff are provided with a robust, fit for purpose induction and continuous training that encompasses all mandatory and legislative requirements. This may include:

Sourcing, review and assessment of e-learning modules
Sourcing, review and assessment of external training
Review and development of induction processes and documentation
Ensuring the requirements of the care certificate are fully met within the induction
Supporting managers to induct their staff

Supporting the Head of Training with care/clinical staff development programmes such as the Nurse Associate Degree apprenticeship programme.

Delivering internal training when required. This includes designing, delivering and maintaining material (reviewing on an annual basis to ensure that it is kept up to date )

Remaining up to date with legislative changes and updates as well as relevant partnership networks to ensure we remain compliant with training requirements, operate best practice and continue to develop.

Maintain, assess and review the quality and relevance of internal training delivered by others in the homes. This could include but is not limited to:

Moving & Handling
Systems training
Staff skills gap identification by managers
Subject specific training (e.g. use of equipment)

Person Specification

Education

Degree in Nursing or equivalent
RGN with an up-to-date pin
CIPD (desirable)

Experience

Experience of working in social healthcare
Delivering and developing training solutions
Conducting training needs analysis
Coaching & mentoring
Working in health & social care

Knowledge

Local market knowledge
Understanding of the Hotel & Care industry standards, policies and procedures
Literate in computer Technology
